Once you've saved your ideas, you're ready to consider sharing them. Here are some key questions you should answer:

How much information is safe to give away?

As a rule when answering this, focus more on your vision, on yourself and your qualifications for coming up with the idea, rather than details of how you would execute on it.

How important is it that you be involved in the development of your idea?

Some people have an idea and just want to see it happen, whether or not they have anything to do with its development. Others are personally invested in the development of their idea. Those of you who want to stay involved in the development of your idea, make sure you say so by checking the copyright box in our Authoring Tool. While copyrighting your Idea Page won't protect the idea itself, it will protect your representation of it.

Who do you want to see your idea once you share it by publishing?

Publishing your idea on IDEASTOX will share it with the IDEASTOX community and its visitors. However, you can protect certain information about your idea by publishing it in the News, Media or Comments sections of your Idea Page. Only community members who have voted for your idea and have agreed to IDEASTOX's membership terms will be able to view those sections of your Idea Page.

Think of News as a way of publishing announcements about developments to your idea. Media is a place to publish video, photo, audio or word documents about your idea or (for example) a resume. And comments are what you would expect. A place to ask questions, and get answers, often unsolicited from the community of people who have voted for your idea.

Remember, great ideas in your head only get you so far. Once you save your ideas, the next step is to share them. You'll still be able to edit your idea once you publish it. But when you publish it, you'll have a new set of tools to understand the audience of people who are voting for it, and communitcation tools to help promote it and connect with people and companies who can help make it real.
